Engineer came out, signal was 'spot on' and no adjustment made it better.

Changed LNB - same
Ran a new cable direct to box - same

Then replaced the zone1 minidish with a standard round 65cm dish - all channels received.

Just to check, swapped the LNB from the minidish, and used the original cable - all channels received.

So - not alignment, not hardware, not cabling.

Only thing left is satellite signal.

Have these channels moved to a weaker transponder?

Seems to me that the signal has diminished somewhat.

You're the second customer to have this issue this morning.

If a message displays “no satellite signal” firstly check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Otherwise it’s likely to be a dish alignment issue so check the troubleshooting in this link
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-tv-no-satellite-signal-sky-q
It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish. If it doesn’t you’ll need to contact Sky to book an engineer appointment.

If you are connected to a communal dish you need to liaise with your building management company / landlord who will have their approved engineers to contact.

Remember, a misalignment is not necessarily something that will be visible to the naked eye and could only affect one or two channels.

For last 3 weeks - same issue, ALL channels work, including the historically 'weakest' channels BBC & ITV, except TNT.

As soon as the Champions League matches start, the picture pixellates at best, or gives 'no satellite signal'.

Rebooted, forced a software update, checked signal, same.

BT forums report a 'known issue'.

Re: no satellite signal re TNT sports channels - BT Community

"There was an issue affecting the HD versions that has now been fixed, you need to unplug your Sky box for at least 5 minutes before restarting and checking the TNT Sports channels are back to normal."

TNT Sports HD signal is problematic on a consistent basis. At times get message saying channel affected by problem satellite signal. Other times get distorted picture. No issue with other channels or non HD versions of TNT. Engineer visit has not fixed issue as he advised strong signal from dish and alignment is correct. How can this be sold as a premium channel offering.
