I recently changed from sky broadband to Zen FFP.

Since the change my minis drop out. I am aware of the mesh that Sky sets up from the Q but how do the minis connect?
Do I have to have WiFi turned on my mini and if I do should I have 2.4 or 5.GHz on?

if someone could just explain how they connect (in simple terms) it may help me to figure out my options to get up and running.

By default the mini's connect to the main Q box via their own 5GHz network on channel 36. With a bandwith of 80MHz meaning up to channel 48 is used.

If your current (5GHz) WiFi is below channel 52 then they may interfere.

Boxes connecting direct to the Internet will only use a 2.4GHz connection.

Thank you for the response. So a couple of questions.

Does only 5Ghz. need to be turned on the mini boxes?

When you say boxes connecting to the internet - do you mean mini boxes connecting to the internet? Is that separate to the Sky mesh?
