&lt;P&gt;As &lt;a href="https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/1219194"&gt;@nigea99&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;indicates (and the earlier posts refer to) the 'touch' remote is an antique from eight years ago, and most current Sky support staff will never have seen one.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you find a reference to that particular hardware on the Sky website, we can ask them to amend it.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Replaced and returned sky q box but replacement remote is not a touch remote?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Sky Q box stopped working so I boxed it up with the leads and touch remote as instructed. Now I'm unboxing the replacement and the remote they have provided is not a touch remote. I feel like I have been scammed and should have kept my original Bluetooth touch remote!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Too late now, I am afraid, you could have just sent the new remote back instead - if you really want a touch remote you might be able to find a 2nd hand one on ebay&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;(Personally I prefer the newer remotes)&lt;/P&gt;</description>

I followed the online route first only to receive what I believed was a mini box remote.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So I called Sky. No indication from the technician that touch remotes weren't available and I was assured a touch remote would be sent. They sent another remote which was again&amp;nbsp;what I believed was a mini box remote.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Only on a second call to Sky did the technician actually state that the touch remotes were no longer available and that now only "voice" versions are available.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Super frustrating and a step backwards for the remote in my opinion as the capability of the touch is/was far better than the button prodding of the (now standard) remote I now have.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;TBH I think part of the problem is that the Touch remotes are so old that most advisers haven't a clue what one is/was&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;FYI The only remote that was issued only with minis in the very early days were the Infrared only remotes which again SKY have not issued for many years - all remotes&amp;nbsp; for many years (other than the accessibility) are Bluetooth/Voice remotes &amp;amp; unfortunately for some users are not Touch remotes&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;All remotes work with both main &amp;amp; minis&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You might be able to get a 2nd hand Touch remote on Ebay&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Be warned ....SKY Q replaced last week due to a &amp;nbsp;disk error, and was told by the delivery driver I had to return the remote &amp;nbsp;with the box otherwise I would be charged for it,. By the time I opened up the new box to find Sky Remote &amp;nbsp;the drvier was gone with my Sky touch remote., No problem I thought, as a &amp;nbsp; Diamond VIP member surely they will just send me out a replacement.. After 40 minutes on the phone they agreed to send it out, but that &amp;nbsp;I would have to pay for it and then be refunded. Arrived today, opend up the parcel only to find they had not sent me a touch remote,. &amp;nbsp;Called again now being &amp;nbsp;told there is nothing that can be done, and to add insult to injury was told the drvier should not have inisted on taking the remote in the first place.,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Although we suspect SKY would not charge for a remote not being sent back, it is best to send one but SKy do not care what type of remote get sent back so we advise those who want to keep their touch remotes to just to send&amp;nbsp; the one that arrives with the replacement box back with the faulty/old box.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
