We have tested our TV and hdmi lead. We have to regularly turn.the box off at the switch wait over night and then it's fine. It's done this lots of times we are fed up with it. This happened with our last skyq box and the one we have now was it's replacement, but continues to happen

Have you tried the various Audio options in your Q box?

ie

Home - Settings -Setup - Audio Visual

Try Normal - Dolby Digital etc.

See if they all give you the same issue

This happening with two different boxes points at something else like the TV being the most likely culprit. How have you tested the TV? Have you tried a soundbar instead?
