Sky remote will not connect

I have disconnected my old remote from my sky q and tv, and tried to connect my new remote. The led flashes as in the instructions, but there is nothing further. No blue screen to connect it with just the tv screen it was on originally and now neither remote working!! Please help!!

@Sarahxx1 Try rebooting your Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions

then

Try resetting your remote.
Press the buttons 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes twice then follow onscreen instructions to repair the remote.

Heyyy!

thanks so much for getting back to me. We tried everything, and still no joy. I spoke to with sky today.. we had to take the viewing card out of the box and it worked! Still not got volume so they're sending a replacement remote, despite the fact that this is a new remote! At least we can actually use the tv now! Appreciate you getting back to me! Have a great weekend! 😄
