Hi all,

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction please.

Im trying to get a straight answer from Sky but can't get through to customer services to discuss. Love the live 'bot'
I was one of the first movers to get a Sky Q box but it looks like these are not compatible with HDR. I've just checked via MySky and is a non-HDR box!
Anyone know how you can upgrade the box?
Any help is greatly appreciated

@Ngg afraid you will need to contact Sky and they normally charge a fee to upgrade latest reports are its around £99. You will need to be very specific in what you want as some of the Sky customers assistants get confused between UHD and HDR

Hi @Ngg To get an HDR box you need to speak to Sky. Expect an admin fee of £50-£99. If you don't need the space the best bet is the latest 1TB box (32B2xx) . I suspect the latest 2TB boxes (32B2xx) are is short supply and you will get a 32B1xx 2TB box.

It is worth reminding now, keep your viewing card if you do swap boxes.

The v1 2TB ('Q Silver') released in February 2016 could do UHD but not HDR: the initial HDR standard had only been ratified the year before and so HDR chipsets were not widely available on the international silicon component market when that model was being manufactured.
