WiFi is working but Sky Q won’t connect. Happens every few months

Every few months the main sky Q box decides to not want to connect to our broadband, it accepts the password but says it fails in connecting. This means that the sky Q mini boxes fail to work too. We turn off and reset both the broadband and the sky Q main box and still it does not work. Eventually it decides to work after a day or even a few days. The broadband works for everything else but anything sky. It is very annoying especially when you want to watch on demand or sky cinema or even apps like Netflix and Prime but you cannot. What is the issue here...?

Looks like there may be an issue with WiFi range, interference or obstructions.

Who is your Broadband supplier and how far is your main Q box from the Router?

The broadband is BT and the router is within the same room, again it works fine with ever device that is not sky even at a greater distance than the main sky Q box

Hi @Benwaltonnn

Is the Q box close enough to your Router to use Ethernet?

Also are you using any WiFi mesh units of any description?

It is not close enough for Ethernet, but still the distance is not that great as it is in the same room. As for mesh units, we do not have any.
