Red button on Sky Sports + not working

Just got a new Sky Q box, set up and working apart from the red button on Sky Sports+. Tried turning power off and on but no change. Is it just me or is there a wider issue?

Hi @Poacherman If it is a new box, check that the software is up to date (Q270).

I've just tried mine. No problem with channel 412 (currently showing some golf) and gone into the red button and no problem going into Wigan Warriors v Hull FC game.

Hi @Poacherman If another reboot doesn't fix it, I'm afraid that you may have to contact Sky. Have you tried a different approach, like using the sidebar menu (...)?

I only picked that random game to check that it worked (it was half time when I tried). I've no interest in Rugby.

Got the scores on the sidebar menu but still getting the same technical issue message. Looks like I'll be contacting Sky. I'll leave the post open so when it's sorted I will update.

It shouldn't be the Scores on the sidebar menu, it should be the Sky Sports App.

I guess it may be a little late but if you have an iphone/ipad or android mobile/tablet you can watch on the SKY Sports app

Yeah, got the app but only scores available, and of course the red button isn't available on any device.so I can't watch on anything else.

I've spoken to Sky and a new remote is being sent even though I only got this one with the new box 3 days ago.

I was able to watch the game when I posted on the app (I have no idea if it has now finished)

Did you explore the app fully - also have you made sure you have the latest SKY Sports App version

Unfortunately the red button option isn't available on mobile devices. I can watch anything apart from programmes on the red button.

Ah you need to use the SKY Sports app not SKY Go for the 'red button' games

Edit As I write this 17:01 the game is showing wrap up interviews

Hi @Poacherman Just checking, on the sidebar it says Sky Sport "App" and not just Sky Sports.

Just tried opening the app on the tv but still got the same error message. Downloaded and opened the app on my tablet and it worked!

Thanks for the help and info, I've learnt a lot.
