Would like to upgrade my sky+ box to sky q. Have been a customer for 24 years. Are there any upfront costs and will my monthly fee be the same?

It is probably best to ask Sky. This is a public community forum, not Sky customer services.

Just be aware that the "free" change to Sky Q normally comes with an old 1TB box that only supports 1 Mini box (at the same time) and maximum of 3 channels recorded at the same time. The current boxes support 2 Mini boxes (at the same time) and a maximum of 6 channels recorded at the same time.

Although it's not perfect and can cause some frustrations, the Sky Q product is far superior than Sky+ - especially if you have a multiroom subscription.
