Swann DVR won't connect to Sky Q Wifi router (or Q box mesh)

Trying (at parents' house) to connect a new Swann DVR system to the Sky WiFi network.

On initial startup the Swann DVR did connect to WiFi and downloaded an update. We went on to install 3 cameras (two from the DVR kit and one extra). All good except...

DVR now won't connect to the Sky Q Wifi.

Have tried rebooting Sky Router and Q boxes. Have tried rebooting DVR.
DVR (and cameras) all see the Sky WiFi but are unable to connect. Have checked, double checked, and re-entered the WiFi key (which is the default one, all uppercase letters, nothing strange).

No WiFi connect means we can't use the sky mesh system for one camera which is just out of range of the DVR's wifi.

Any suggestions? I do wonder if the DVR update firmware has broken something as it did work initially.

I tried seperating 2.4 and 5GHz networks in the sky router; didn't seem to make any difference.

I'm going to install an ethernet switch and plug the DVR in to at at least get the Swann system online; but one of the cameras needs to be on the sky WiFi mesh, and that won't connect either.

Had anyone got a Swann DVR (NVW-800) working with Sky Q's Wifi (and the Q box mesh) ?
