A lot of my channels are bad quality and or pixelating

A lot of my channels which are not hd channels are bad quality music channels documentary type channels to many to mention some are also pixelated quite bad i have a 75inch tv so the quality is very bad

i dont expect perfect quality but a lot are not watchable

i would like a solution if possible as its been like this for about 6 months

i have been with sky 23 years

Regarding your issue I'm afraid that SD channels on a 75 inch TV will be horrendous to say the least.

I assume your TV is 4K 3840 x 2160 pixel (4K UHDTV) Resolution. (8,294,400 pixels of information).

SD Video is 720 x 480 pixel resolution. (345,600 pixels of information).

HD Video is 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. (2,073,600 pixels of information)

A 4K TV has to display its full resolution of 8,294,400 pixels.

The larger the screen being viewed the more noticeable is the lack of information the screen is receiving.

An SD channel scaled up to UHD over a panel that size is very likely to look pretty bad: no matter how good the silicon in the television is there's just not enough data to work with when 720 × 576 'real' pixels in the content are being to populate 3840 x 2160 on the screen.

Not sure why anyone would buy a 75" UHD TV to watch SD channels?

I guess the SD channels are there, and some don't have an alternative HD broadcast even if the subscriber has the Sky HD add-on.

People generally assume technology can work miracles (particularly when they've paid out for a monster new television), and don't know just how little data is in an SD resolution signal stream.
