Sky Q upgrade - box

I received an email to say I had been offered an upgrade to Sky Q - a Sky Q 1TB box. Requires compatible box connected to broadband (min. recommended speed: SD: 3Mbps; HD: 8Mbps; UHD: 24Mbps).

Please can someone advise if the Sky Q 1TB box is the latest box out? Also i have very poor internet speed with Sky would I have to take out a better broadband package if i go ahead with the upgrade offer? Thank you

Unfortunately we can't say - there are 2 versions of a 1TB box - one is UHD capable but the other is not - only HD & cannot support more than 1 mini - you would need to discuss with SKY to make sure you both understand which is being offered - see my notes below.

Regarding the broadband speed - for downloads etc and general use your are probably OK - you may just have to wait to watch them (as you would with SKY HD) - the broadband speed is more likely to be an issue with any streaming such a Netflix/Disney+ and now the SKY Sports + app for red button games
