Sky Q dish receiver bracket corroded / snapped - no satellite signal

The bracket holding the receiver has completely rusted through and broken resulting in no satellite signal. The dish clearly needs replacing and I have a sky engineer booked for the 30th August. However, I have read elsewhere on this site that I might be charged by sky for a replacement as I 'own' the dish. Is this true, and if so at what cost?

You shouldn't be charged in these circumstances.

Also you can also ask Sky for a credit once it's fixed back to point of reporting the fault.

Assuming you have SKY Q, then it is very likely to be replaced free of charge.

I think they are only likely to charge where the dish is rusty but still working & the customer wants it replacing raher than it needs it replacing.

BTW I think the standard fee for dish replacement/moves etc is around £65
