Sky Q had wrong BB

Sky Q told me i wasnt connected internet. Checked this out through settings. It showed it couldnt connect to Sky Ff5B7. Well i wasnt surprised. I dont have a Sky router - I use Virgin. Had to figure it out how to reset to Virgin. Never seen this one before. Any ideas why it happened?

Hi @Hibby1875

You were probably looking at the SSID of the Sky Q mesh which is broadcast by the Q boxes. This is normally shown in the Q box network details.

If you were trying to connect by WPS then it may have been a neighbours Sky Network.

You couldn't mistakingly connect to that unless the neighbours router WPS button was pressed within two minutes of you trying to connect.

As you now know I suspect, you have to input your Virgin SSID and password for its 2.4Ghz band following a Network reset on the Q box to connect to your router.

You can only use WPS when on Sky Broadband.
