discovery plus stuck on privacy notice

I'm trying to load Discovery Plus from the apps menu for the first time. I accept the privacy notice, and a spinning circle appears; it just sticks to the page with the privacy notice.... The circle continually spins.

All I can do is hit home and exit.

What can I do to resolve?

I have the same issue after activating discovery+, just started my sky subscription too.

@dam01 @BoydieUK you could try refreshing the apps in the engineers menu

To enter the engineers menu do the follow
press the home button then scroll down to setting and hi-light
do not press select/enter but press 001 then select this takes you into the engineers menu

scroll down to apps > refresh

Had the same problem for the last couple of days and finally found the solution:

I have a pihole running and it blocked a request from the sky q receiver to cdn.cookielaw.org. After whitelisting this request the Discovery+ app is no longer stuck on the privacy notice.

That was it. I run 'nextdns' which does the same thing. I whitelisted the domain and it worked!

did you have to leave it whitelisted after ?

Thank you - it's always easier when someone else has done the leg work... 🤣

They obviously don't just port the software 'as-is' because Pi-hole was not affecting Discovery+ on any other devices on my network (AppleTV / FireTV / Phones etc).

I also had to whitelist "js-agent.newrelic.com".
