My sky tv is not working

An engineer called today, he cut the cable to the sky dish, said I would be able to connect to sky tv via the new bb router he fitted. Unfortunately, I had forgotten to collect the router before he came. I now cannot watch sky tv. The router is connected to the sky box, how do I connect to the sky tv with the bb router?

Hi @Janiceallen75 Sky Q will not work without a connection to the dish.

Why would he do that? Are you sure you have / still have Sky Q via a satellite dish?

I'm positive he cut the cable to the sky dish, no idea why he did it, I accepted what he said as he was supposed to be the expert. I've moved house and an engineer only put the sky dish up last week, I did think it was strange. Another engineer is coming tomorrow, so hopefully it will get sorted 🤞

Thanks, hopefully it will get sorted out tomorrow when another engineer comes out. Trouble is I'm really busy so could have done without all this hassle 🙈
