I recently took up the offer of a free upgrade to Sky Q. Although we don’t need or want Sky in all rooms our HD box and original dish were well past it after nearly 30 years. We appear to have lost all the terrestrial channels that we had all over the house! We had a feed that went to a splitter booster in the loft that fed four more sets all of which have now gone. We also cannot get a terrestrial signal on the main TV or the TV that had a direct feed rather than from the booster. I remember the installer mentioned something about a second feed but did not follow what he actually said regrettably.

Which may require a simple back to back (female to female) coaxial cable connector: this needs to be push fit rather than screw thread.

There is not any RF (terrestrial outputs ) on Sky Q so you will have lost the ability to use the Q box for RF out.

You will need to buy a simple powered aerial splitter to take the input from your terrestrial aerial and feed it to your main TV and also to the splitter in your loft. Something like the following

When you say direct feed do you meen direct from the Old SKY HD box ?

the SKY HD boxes had one RF input & 2 outputs so it is quite possible that your main feed was the input to your SKy HD box which then had one feed to your TV and the other back to your booster

As @PandJ2020 says you will need to connect the feed from your aeriel into th efeed back into your booster.

you may need to get another 2 way booster to split to your TV & feed to your main booster unless that has enough outputs back to your main TV (if you need it)

Yes there was a feed from in and out of the sky box which I think is the missing link. Thank you sp much for sparing the time to help an old duffer like me!
