Another system question, slight delay in channels selection.

This might sound like a small nit-picking question.

When watching a channel, any channel, if you turn over to a different channel, one up or down using the channel selector button (rocker switch) Does anyone get a slight freeze-frame on that next channel, but the audio is instant...if anyone can follow that.

Also, when watching a channel and then press the Home button, is there a slight delay? As if the image fades out, and then fades into the Home menu

As I say, it's just a nit-pick but I'm just interested. 😁

Hi @Negativepitch42 Try rebooting your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on to reboot.

If you are still having the same problem, try using a different HDMI port on your TV for the SKYQ box?

Yes, I have tried rebooting it.

I thought the same and tried a different HDMI port, I even went into my back of leads that are pointless, but keep...just in case, and tried a different HDMI lead.

I didn't quite discrbe the problem fully (bad habit of mine)

So, if I am watching for example ITV HD, and the use the rocker Chanel selector to go to BBC 2, (HD) the next one in the default order, I get a black screen for around 3 to 4 seconds (I timed it, my wife counting the second on her watch) it then switches to the channel, the image is frozen, as if buffering for 2 seconds, but the audio is instant.

It can't there's a delay in the box switching resolution between HD To SD as both ITV and BBC 2 are in HD.

I have spent a little time going from various channels in various orders, but it's the same.

It makes it a bit of a pain if you need to flick through the channels.

Changing from a channel back to the home menu is a bit of a strange one,.

The best way I can explain it is, it's not an instant change to text, but a very brief fade out to a dim blue screen, and fade back in to a blue screen and then the text shows, as if there's a delay, this is very brief though and not all the time.
