SkyQ remote - will the voice activation work with a sky hd box?

My Father in-law has a Sky HD box and has trouble using the buttons on the Sky HD remote as he can't see very well. If we got a Sky Q remote and use the voice activation button to change channels, will this work? I.e is a Sky Q remote compatible with a Sky HD box using the voice activation commands?

The short answer is No. Sky+HD boxes haven't got voice technology.

Unfortnately not - the SKY HD boxes can't be controlled that way & the SKY Q remotes only work with SKY Q
