Additional Room Options for sick friend

A good friend who is terminally ill is now bed bound and a I trying to find a way for him to get Sky into his bedroom
I am not up to date on current Sky options but I have been told his Sky Box is a 32C006 - SkyQ?
He obviously doesn't want to subscribe to an extra room as, to be frank, we are talking weeks here.
Is there an easy (and inexpensive) way of purchasing a Mini-box?
This may seem a daft question but I am not personally a Sky user.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Yes a 32C006 is SKY Q - a 1TB non UHD box which can support only 1 mini box (but that wouldn't be a problem here)

Unfortunately use of a mini box does need the mutiscreen add on and may incurr an upfront admin fee (althoug for the first one this is often waived)

If his internet speed & wifi is good enough - possibly one solution would be to switch to SKY Stream -

A box that streams via the internet rather than via the Satellite & uses apps like iPlayer & ITVX.

This is a different product and may possibly be too much of a change - although it may not but would also result in not being able to access any recordings on the old SKY Q box (which would need to be returned after an initial period of around a month I think)

And just to add you can't purchase a mini box. They are loaned to the customer.

I have since phoned sky who were very helpful but unfortunately nothing can be done unless I am there with him and speak on his behalf.
Sadly that's probably not an option

Yes SKY need to be able to anybody speaking to access key Account details etc

One thought - depending on where the bedroom is in relation to the dish.

Although it may be more cost than planned for and would need acceess to the house, would be to get an independent Satellite installer to move the cables entering the house & the box from the room it is in to the bedroom.

SKY would usually charge £65 for this but I am not sure how costs for independent installers compare - as I say it does depend on location also

A monthly NowTV subscription on suitable hardware (Amazon FireStick for example) is considerably more flexible than any Sky-branded product.
