Depends 0n what you are trying to connect.

If you are on Sky Broadband and you are using it to connect the main Q box to the router then it should positioned midway between the two.

Then first connected by WPS to the router.

Then when carrying out a Network reset on the main Q box you press the WPS button on the router.

Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to your booster.

However if using it to connect a mini to the main Q box then it needs positioning midway between the main Q box and the mini. Then the booster needs connecting to the main Q box by WPS.

Then when carrying out a network reset on the mini you press the WPS button on the Booster.

Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to WPS with the booster.
You will be asked to press the WPS button on the booster (not the mini as the Network reset will start the mini WPS automatically).
