&lt;P&gt;The only relevant 'local technical issue' is always between dish and box (or the box itself) : apart from that, 'local' has no meaning for satellite television broadcasting*.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Sky has many millions of satellite subscription households, so at any particular moment in time it's inevitable that some are having dish problems and post here.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;*apart perhaps from really severe weather (intense rain/ice) in a particular region but that would only be transitory.&lt;/P&gt;
