Hi,

I am thinking of upgrading my current SKY+HD Multiroom package to SKY Q

I would need a Main Q Box in the lounge and a Mini Q Box in the bedroom

I have broadband with Virgin Media using the supplied Virgin Media Router

Is it possible to connect both the Main and Mini box to the router using ethernet rather than having to use WiFi for the Mini to stream from the Main and also for both to use Ethernet for internet access

I was told that you can only use Ethernet to connnect them if you have Sky Broadband ?

Many thanks for your time

Hi @The+Common+Tater Yes that will work, but better still connect both Main & Mini to a Switch, and connect the Switch to your Router. That way it will continue to work even if the Router is switched off.
