Hi. We have a sky mini and main sky q box. Previously they were both connected t I a sky broadband router midway between the two. If I try and connect the sky mini to the sky main box directly the signal is poor ( chippy connection with picture freezes send showing live a sky tv - as they have too many walls between them). We have upgraded broadband ( sky do not offer fibre in our area so bad to get satellite broadband). Can I connect sky mini and sky main box using our new Wi-Fi mesh (non sky) or can I link sky mini to main box thru old router (now not pressuring broadband service) or can I get a sky q booster (and use this on new Wi-Fi mesh)? Best solution thanks??

Hi @Doc270

best to forget about using the old router.

On 3rd party broadband minis if using WiFi will only connect to the Sky Q mesh generated by Q devices.

If you have a Mesh system minis will not connect to 3rd party mesh units reliably by WiFi.

If you have the possibility to connect both the mini and the main Q box by Ethernet to the mesh system this should work. In this case all the Q box WiFi can be turned off

Only other option I can see is to get a Q WiFi booster to position midway between the main Q box and the mini,

Thanks. I assume that SKY Q wifi extender will work fine with the new (non sky) mesh?
