topic Q box in Sky Q

Good afternoon. My sky box was not recording correctly or playing back in an effective way. I conducted a 'soft restart' and after initial investigations, realised this did not resolve the issue. I have completed a full restart/reboot (which I was.not entirely happy with as I lost all recording) but this has not resolved the issue. I am now receiving messages when changing channels or trying to either record or.playback stating 'there is a technical fault with the Hard Drive'. I suspect the age of the skybox has caught up with it.

Assuming from what you have tried above, you have done a reset hard drive as described in the Sky help article below.

If you have and still getting a hard drive issue message, you can order a replacement Sky Q box online, details in the Sky help article below;

Make sure when you return your current Sky Q box to the courier that you remove your current Sky viewing card as you will need that for the new replacement box.

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/fix-recording-problems-on-sky-q-other-recordings-problems
