Cannot connect sky mini box in annex when it’ still on the same wifi as the main house

Does anyone know why the mini box isnt connecting to tgr tv in parents annex when the annex is connected to the wifi in the main house?

they can get iplayer and a firestick etc but the mini box will not connect. Even after reestablishing its connection to the main box and using the wsp button ?

Try not to use the WPS button, if you have a mesh system/wifi boosters, on the menu where you connect to wifi, select "Connect to Wi-Fi from another broadband provider".

This will allow you to connect to wifi with a password rather than use the WPS button

Hi @Coopy2024

Bear in mind that on 3rd party broadband your minis if using WiFi will only connect to another Q device (Main Q box another mini or a Q WiFi Booster). They will not connect to 3rd party routers.

Also you need to consider if the Mini is in WiFi range of what you are trying to connect it to.

You may need a Q WiFi booster to position midway.

Hi @ThePope27

Afraid there is no WiFi connection menu on Sky Q minis. Using WiFi they will only connect by WPS to other Q devices.

They will not connect by WiFi to 3rd party WiF or 3rd party mesh.
