Sky Q Box hard drive noise

For a couple of weeks now my Sky Q box hard drive keeps whirring. At first I thought it was updates but it does it about every 40 mins and can last up to 5 mins. It doesn't matter if the box is on or on stand-by. The box doesn't feel hot so I don't think it's the fan. Any ideas? The box works fine, it's just annoying.

@AdamBates The only 2 things it could be is the fan or the hard drive is the box well ventilated nothing stacked on top of it or under it ?
