Sky Q subtitles not showing when on

Hi all

am hard of hearing so subtitles really important.

i can get them on my terrestrial source (LG tv supports) and Netflix (through sky package) but not on anything else sky.

says subtitles are 'on' but none show.

thats any sky offering or bbc etc through sky.

have reset/recycled etc but no joy.

please help!
