      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, I am getting a message on my sky box saying it needs to be upgraded to support hd to continue to watch bbc. Message on the tv and on the website advises this is free . I've called the number and today and am being told I have to pay....please can someone help??&lt;/P&gt;</description>

HD is free for the terrestial channels at least (BBC1, ITV etc).&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;As the others have said you do not need to pay to upgrade to watch BBC.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately a few people are having minor problems now that the BBC have changed all their services to HD &amp;amp; you are seeing the out of date SD services - the message contained was aimed at people with older boxes that do not support HD&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Please may I suggest a full power down restart of your main SKY Q box :&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Use the remote to place it into standby mode&lt;BR /&gt;Then remove the power to it (either switch off at mains or remove the power plug)&lt;BR /&gt;Wait at least 30s&lt;BR /&gt;Then re-apply the power &amp;amp; wait for it to fully restart - this may take a few minutes.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
