Sky q over internet

My sky q mini box regularly loses connection with my main box. The mini box is in the main living room and sits beside my broadband router which has v strong connection. Is it possible that I can get sky through the internet and not need the dish which is connected to the main sky q box, which isn't used too often?

I only have multi room cause the engineer couldn't(wouldn't ) connect the dish to the box in the living room, if I had sky in the living room I wouldn't need multi room

Not for Sky Q. The internet-only product is Sky Stream.

Stream would replace Q: Sky will not permit more than one television product at an address.

Thanks for reply. If I move from sky q to sky stream what is the downside if I only want sky in one room?

Stream absolutely relies on a good internet connection, and has no functionality if that fails.

It's a different operating system / user interface, and does not 'record'.

I'd suggest reading the Stream Forum and lots of reviews.
