Just had a cupboard fitted as part of a media wall and the sky Q box now lives in there. The remote does not work through the cupboard. Just wondering if the new voice activated remote will being as it is Bluetooth and not IR. Can anyone help please.

Hi @JHaystead

Yes any Q Bluetooth remote with voice control will work the Q box through a cupboard.

Main concern is to ensure adequate ventilation for the Q box if totally enclosed

hi @WillinLeeds

To pair any remote with the box they must have line of sight for the pariing process as they use Infrared until paired

If you need to reset a remote to re-pair then:
Press & Hold the 7 & 9 until the remote's light (red LED above the SKY logo button) flashes 4 times

Then press 1 & 3 together to go through to re-pair with the box and your TV - make sure it has line of sight of the box as until it is paired it uses Infrared (as mentioned above)
