Cannot use the Red Button on Sky Tennis or Football just get WGT8 error code

Cannot use the Red Button on Sky Tennis or Football just get WGT8 error code (widget 1.53.0), tried on wednesday for the Sunderland match.

This is the 1st time i have tried it since receiving a new box before xmas

Checked other posts and it looks like it could be due to software version, so i checked last night and mine is currently q220.000.23.00L on a 32B106 box

I tried to do a software update which seemed to download ok but after putting box into standby then back on it is still at the same version even though box seemed to be doing something as the blue circle came on for a few mins.

Strange thing is i can watch via the red button upstairs in the mini box with no issue and it shows as being the latest version Q230.000.14.00L on 32D00A box

Any advice would be very much appreciated

Hi @Dave_37 Try rebooting your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on to reboot?

@Dave_37 it can sometimes take 2 or 3 attempt at downloading the newer software if it still doesn't download after trying again let us know and we can escalate this to Sky for you

I tried software update again and one the 2nd attempted it updated to version

Q250.000.11.00L

I then tried the tennis again but still got the error, so after reading other threads I did a reset on the apps

This fixed the problem and red button is now working.

I've done all the resets spoke to Sky customers service who read from a manual still didn't have a clue ended up hanging up still can't watch nothing on the red button time to cancel Sky I think
