accessing netflix with sky account1

cannot access netflix since adding it to my sky package... was told to use sky id to.log in to netflix but theres no way to do this I dont have sky q I.m on sky+hd dont have a sky puck thing have a smart tv

@georgieboy26 You need to upgrade to either sky Q , glass or stream to use a Netflix account via sky, you can't use one via sky plus HD

You can't login to netflix with your Sky credentials (i.e. password) but you can do a netflix password reset, using your email from your SkyID, as long as your sky account has been set up and linked to netflix.

Didn't know it was possible to add netflix to your account if you were on an HD contract. Wonder if this is a mistake/oversight in the system.

@georgieboy26 Unfortunately yes has it's just not possible to access Netflix through sky on a Sky plus hd box has they don't support apps

Once activated you can use on any device with the app or via a PC browser but unfortunetaly you need SKY Q or Glass/Stream to activate it

@georgieboy26 I wasn't aware that you could add the Netflix subscription to your account through Sky when you have a Sky HD+ box

@georgieboy26 I would think the Sky agent was confusing the Sky+HD boxes with the Q and stream boxes

Netflix is linked to your Sky ID/Account so you pay Netflix via Sky so it's not device specific obviously Sky+HD boxes don't have apps but adding the Netflix subscription should allow the OP to watch it on the Smart TV regardless if the Sky box has apps or not.

I have Netflix billed via Sky but I don't always watch it on the Sky Q box as I use the Firetvstick app or my Smart TV app.

Fair comment @nigea99 obviously you need to pay full wack for Netflix just cause you have a Sky+ HD box seems a bit unfair

Before I changed my billing from Netflix to Sky I was able to login to the Netflix app on the Sky Q box only thing that has changed is that I'm now billed via Sky and paying less

Like I said I don't always use the Netflix app on the Sky Q box but choose to be billed via Sky than directly by Netflix to watch the same content.
