Has anyone had trouble connecting the sky q remote to a sharp tv ? Any help welcome please

I believe some Sharp TV's use RF remotes (radio frequency) and not infrared.

in this case it is not possible to pair a Q remote to the TV.

You would need to check the specs of your TV to ascertain if the remote is RF .

Edit.

If your original TV remote still works if you cup your hand round the top of the remote then it is not Infrared.
