SKY Q is not designed to work like that - it is designed around a main box & mini boxes & has no RF inputs/outputs.

I think some pople have managed to use HDMI to RF converters to use in a similar fashion - it would depend on how your IR ser up works as to how well that could be used - although I have found the bluetooth range of SKY Q to be very good and as a test have used from all rooms in my 3 bed Semi-detached - as well as from outside my back door.

You can have only one remote paired in Bluettoth mode though.

You may wish to read some notes I have made for people considering switching from SKY +/HD to SKY Q

The first thing I suggest is to restart your main SKY Q box :

Use the remote to place it into standby mode
Then remove the power to it (either switch off at mains or remove the power plug)
Wait at least 30s
Then re-apply the power & wait for it to fully restart - this may take a few minutes.

Once the main box is restarted do the same power down on each of the mini boxes.
