Screen Mirror from iPad to Sky Q?

Is there anyway to send video content on iPad (ideally via VLC) to Sky Q.

On the iPad, if I click the casting button, I see Sky Q. But it will only play the sound. There will be no image.

If I use a dedicate streaming app, like Netflix, then it will work (well, most the time). But I was wondering if there is anyway to send video that is not on streaming (e.g. clips that are viewed via VLC).

Nope. Some TV's have this function - I can mirror to my LG.

A Q box cannot do so: it's only capable of receiving audio. If the television set doesn't have that feature then you'd need to attach a device over HDMI such as a Chromecast puck, Firestick or Apple TV box.
