While looking at the multi screen upgrade it has an option to do this without the mini box. What is the purpose of the option ?

Hi @David3110800 People use Multiscreen to watch on other screens, such as phones, tablets and computers.

It allows viewing via Sky Go. That's why customers wanting their first mini box have to order Multiscreen and the mini box.

So would this give access to sky go through ps5 away from home ? My son is at university and would like to view sky sports on some occasions.

I haven't got a PS anything and don't use Sky Go but iirc you need Sky Go Extra.

I think so

Just tried it on my phone using 4G and it worked, suggests it doesn't care it's not the same IP address as the Q box.
