Bbc iplayer buffering and freezing

Hi does anyone know why BBC iplayer is buffering and freezing internmitently when its played though my skyQ is it a inown issue? all other apps are fine and my connection is fine i have fibre to the prem and having no problems at all. its so annoying having to switch apps.

@94 Not having any issues here

Have you tried rebooting your main Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions

Yes I have tried this (twice) but the problem is still there.

The problem is clearly iplayer and I wish people would stop saying the same old reboot this or clear cache etc. You go on Google and its the same issue evrrywhere for so many, everything else is fine Internet speed is good but iplayer just keeps stuttering.

It's still the same in June 2025! IPlayer plays well on other devices but not via Sky Q, why is that?

I am going bananas trying to watch I player

it takes ten times longer to watch a half. Hour programme . I pay a fortune for Sky and my internet is Bt also a fortune and I do all the recommended things to try and fix it

very frustrating !!

It is still the same as of March 2026. I can't believe that there has been no reasonable response to this issue. I have the maximum bandwidth, sky fibre internet and my router is right next to my qbox, both a metre away from the tv with a direct line of sight.

There must be an issue at Sky's end. I just can't watch anything on iPlayer as the buffering is so bad
