Sky Q Remote shape and surface not helpful is there an alternative please

Finding the Sky Q Remote very difficult to use, it is not easy to hold and the buttons are not user friendly, the shape of the remote makes it hard to put down curved shape won't lay flat.

The only other option Sky offers is an 'accessibility remote' https://www.sky.com/help/articles/accessibility-remotes

If you have an Apple device with Sky Go you can set up a virtual remote to control your Q boxes.
