And by the sound of it the new location you're talking about won't be serviceable by Sky anyhow and possibly not the existing one

Not sure what happened to their "high jobs" team but it seems something they don't want to touch these days.

We are considering removing the chimney stack from our house - our sky dish is currently attached to it. Does anyone know if this is something Sky can come and do for us? I think it may need to go on a pole attached to our roof as we have tall trees around and signal won't be reach if we lower it. Have tried to call but been on hold for so long and can't get through to anyone to discuss. Thanks.

Probably not, and would almost certainly involve considerable faffing around getting the right Sky people to attend anyway. Paying a local independent satellite dish installer is far more likely to be successful, but note for ongoing Sky support an independent must relocate the dish to somewhere within the current safe working practices* of Sky.

*not higher than two storey eaves, not above a lower structure and not on a chimney
