Sky Q remote and lg smart tv problems.

I have a smart lg tv, less than a year old. Up until recently, my sky Q remote would control both my sky box and tv with no problems. However recently, I have had to re-connect through settings to use and pair the remote. Up until yesterday 24/11, it has found and paired the remote with one of the 15 settings in the sky system. Yesterday, I tried to pair the remote again, but none of the 15 settings would allow the remote to control the tv. I ran through the procedure twice with no luck. I then found the model number of the tv (50 NANO 816 QA), I then input this into the system a couple of times with no joy. On each occasion, both with and without inputting the model number, I got the message, your tv is not supported!

How can a tv less than a year old not be supported now when it was clearly supported when I first purchased the tv? I could possibly understand it it had been my old tv which was coming up to 10yrs old.
So the big question is, how do I get my remote and tv talking again? Also, as seen in another post, from being able to switch tv and sky on through the remote and it would load sky up straight away. Recently, the tv would load all the lg channel information first, then I would have to tell the tv to use hdmi1 as the input source, even though this is the only source connected to the tv!

Oddly, ours started to do exactly the same yesterday having previously been set up by Sky engineer.
It's been suggested to try a different HDMI socket.

I also have the same problem which started a couple of days ago. LG tv and sky remote volume buttons not working. Has anyone had any luck resolving it

My remote seems to have stopped working with my LG tv. It was working fine up until a couple of days ago but now the volume buttons and the voice control button no longer work. I have tried re pair the remote but it reports that it is not compatible despite the tv being around 18 months old and has been working just fine for the last year. Also tried everything obvious a reboot and batteries. Very poor if sky is no longer supporting a relatively new tv

I also have the same problem, been working fine for years and then all of a sudden the volume and mute buttons don't work. Thought it was the remote so ordered a new one, same issue. Now it just keeps losing connection with the box/tv. One minute the remote works, then it doesn't Also used to work with the cupboard door shut and now it doesn't.

Just had the same problem as everyone

was very frustrating

tried all options online to no avail

had sky enginer call to day and fitted new q box and remote

all good so far

My sky Q remote for LG to now stopped working to is a new remote control and has worked since replaced but today none of the 15 codes work ridiculous this is the 2nd remote to do this

Did anyone resolve this? My LG has just stopped volume control but I can still turn the TV on and off.

Our internet totally went off last night 3 times today I've had to reboot it all and reset the sky q boxes both upstairs and down I now can't use remote upstairs for volume or change Chanel up or down mine is a lg tv too has worked no problem up until now

I have the same problems with my TV no longer being recognised... it's not that old!

Mine is a Toshiba.

Very frustrating trying to remember to use the 'other' remote... my 80 year old eyes don't give me such clear vision as they used to and I had to get a much larger television than my small flat warrants but at least now I can read the text.

Mine seems to have resolved over the last 3 days now I have had to turn off at wall and restart my sky q box due to it saying no internet connection yet all my lights are green at router and on my sky page good connection

Once I had rebooted it all and basically start from scratch I had to do the press 1and 3 together then the 7an 9 and start the Bluetooth pairing again which did the trick

but the past three days I've had to restart the sky box 4/5 times as keeps going off I thought at first it might have been a weather problem as bad where I am

Thanks so much @Almabrierley . I'll try those later, as currently got some recordings on the go.

Interesting, I had to unplug the Sky box yesterday to sort out the issue of lack of thumbnails on recordings - found the answer to that on here I think.

I'll let you know if it works for me.

Now to find out why some recordings don't get into the folder with all the rest of the series,. Wish me luck with that one LOL

We seem to have things recorded we haven't even inputted lol,

but yes try unplugging all your router and reset router and tv and sky q box and start again it will say press Home Screen when screen goes blank do this and go to settings and where your internet sky number is reset that and it will pair it all again fingers x I hope it all works. Today has been ok for two days I haven't had to reset as I said could have been the weather too
