Remote won’t change volume

My remote has stopped changing volume on my Samsung tv despite having done it for past 3 years. Have tried the 7&9 and then 1&3 thing but it now says it doesn't support the tv. What can I do to sort it out?

@Leea66 Have you tried rebooting your main Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions then repairing your remote

or if that doesn't

You could try resetting the settings in the Q boxes hidden menu.
To enter the hidden menu press the home button and scroll down to settings but do not select settings.
With settings highlighted press 0 0 1
Only Carry out the first Reset being Reset Settings as the others will wipe all recordings.
After the reset you will have to re-pair your remote assuming you are using a bluetooth remote by pressing 1 and 3 together on the remote

I've suddenly got the same issue, did anyone find a solution? It happened after I had a warning that the remote batteries needed changed

I just persisted with turning everything off and reconnecting the remote to the tv, took about 30/45 minutes but it randomly connected

I turned everything off and reset my remote to connect too, it didn't work the first two times but on the third it randomly connected with the first setting. Anyhow, works now!

I'm having similar issues, sometime I can get the remote Volume working again for a couple of hours then it goes again. Strange think also when the volume will not work on Sky Q remote, I cannot turn the TV off with the TV remote - completely lost to understand what this is.

Any direction to resolve would be appreciated.

I have the same problem - remote stops operating volume change and will not switch Samsung tv off. It will still change channels. Switching everything off at the socket and then on again cures the problem - but it comes back - and the frequency seems to be increasing

I'm also having the same problems with sky and tv remote. Nearly brought a new tv but after reading on here I can see it's a wide spread issue.
I have tried all the above and still volume buttons not working.

please help!
