Replacement sky box not turning on

Hello.

I have received a new sky q box. When I turn it on it starts to boot up with hello and welcome screen but after 3 hours there are still no lights on the box and I can't turn it on.

do you think the box is faulty or am I missing something?

Just to clarify this is a replacement box as the old one failed and I also have a new viewing card.
