Q box Update software popup

So, I have this brand new Q box and at various intervals a popup appears for a software update. At this point all the buttons barring the Standby are unusable. Therefore, we have to turn the box off and back on to make it disappear. So, I tried it manually and it goes through the motions of updating software but actually doesn't do it. On switching the Q box on the popup for software update continues to appear. I have tried to force the update on around 8 times now and leaving it overnight without success. This is a brand new Q box!

hi @brun2709

Are you sure this is the Q mini box & not your TV with a a firmware update message - if it could be the TV firmware try using your TV's own remote

It sounds like the message is coming from the TV rather than the Sky box. Sky boxes don't usually have pop up messages when a new software update is available.
