SKY Q apps unusable, keep crashing

I had a new SKY Q box installed four weeks ago and the apps are unusable on the main box as they keep crashing. No problems at all on the the mini box though which never crashes while viewing apps. While viewing the main box apps, the screen goes black every few minutes forcing me to go reload app and fast forward programmes to where I think last view time was. I've tried restarting box, refreshing apps, resetting settings but no use.
