Q230 software update

Hi,

I have a 2TB SkyQ box running Q220.000.23.00L. I believe there is a newer Q230 version available that I've tried to force download with no success. Is this software being rolled out gradually and is there a way I can get it quicker? Thanks

hi @cjk09

It takes several weeks before all boxes get newer versions - once the majority have it is made available for manual download but I don't think we are at that point yet

Any particular reason you are wanting the newer version - is something failing ?

I feed the JSon data from 9006/as/pvr?limit=1000&offset=0 into a spreadsheet. There was a change to the format in Q220 which is reverted in Q230.

I don't understand the gobbledygook you've posted either. You won't be able to force an update until the majority of Sky Q customers have been updated. I'm still on Q200 here. I'm afraid you'll have to be patient.

I think it is just extracting the Recordings info from the box (which does contain more info than is displayed)

GET /as/pvr?limit=1000&offset=0 – Return the first 1000 recorded programs on the Sky Q box. This includes pushed on demand content, box sets and recordings.

It's a way of extracting recording data to a spreadsheet I designed years ago. @cjk09 thinks the JSON format may have changed with Q220, although I'm not convinced.

I notice the Q230 must have started at the beginning of September maybe earlier, however two months on I still don't have it, and I did try today to do a software update to see if I could do it myself but to no avail.

I understand there isn't a lot of interest that has changed, and that it is gradually rolled out, but what is frustrating me is that I started SkyQ from virtually the day it started, and despite the innumerable updates since then I am always among the very last to get it. Why is that, why don't Sky mix it up a bit so it is more evenly shared out as to who gets the updates first?

Does anyone know please?

I've already tried to explain to you why that is @Super+Anthony

It will not say Q230.... until the rollout is complete.

The whole point being that people cannot yet manually force an update to Q230...

Some have Q23, others are still on Q22. Updates are rolled out gradually. It's always been this way.

You are missing a lot @Super+Anthony

As I have repeatedly said Q230... is gradually being rolled out in batches. Therefore many people have it already. The people (you included) who haven't had the update will get it ultimately when they are included in a future update batch.

There are millions of users.
