Eratic response on Mini box from the remote

I have two mini box's the one upstairs is fine but the one in my kitchen is playing up when I select the menu it's freezing on menu all that happens when I press the remote is the screen flickers I have tried turning off and resetting but when it comes back on it may work temporarily but then if you go to the menu again it does the same , I have tried a different remote but it just does the same .

@Wayne92 Have you tried rebooting your main Q box ie
putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
switch it back on then follow the on screen instructions

then rebooting your mini box in the kitchen

Thank you I tried that but still

the same , however whilst doing it I think I may have found the issue . I think it may be the remote what threw me was when I brought the remote from the main box it would work then I tried the original remote still wouldn't work made the screen flash but nothing else then when I went back to the main box remote it did the same just flashed the screen so switched off started again and so long as I don't use the original remote the main box remote doesn't falter if that makes sense . Fingers crossed problem solved only time will tell , Thanks for your help 👍
