Greetings!👋

I have gained some fantastic knowledge and received top quality answers on this forum, more answers than SKY has ever provided and I am hoping for a similar response now.

it's puzzling and SKY has no idea what is causing the problem. Connecting the SKY Q mini box to the internet will disconnect the main SKY Q box downstairs and connecting the main SKY Q box will disconnect the SKY Q mini box upstairs along with some of the devices. An engineer messed around with something called 2.4GHz and something else but then gave up and provided no answers whatsoever.

Here's what happens. Our SKY router connects to the main SKY Q box just fine but it does take sometime to connect and sometimes fails via the WPS button - it stays connected when it finally does connect as it should. Here comes the problem - when I connect the booster router upstairs or/and the SKY Q mini box for some unexplained reason the downstairs SKY Q box disconnects and so does some of our devices to the main router.

I'm on the brink of cancelling SKY altogether and making do without because I can't make head or tail of this and neither can the "SKY experts". I don't have the vaguest of ideas and neither does SKY with this problem - I was told this has never been encountered before by a SKY engineer. Any suggestions or answers would be massively appreciated. Some exceptionally knowledgeable people seem active on this forum.

Thank you!

when I connect the booster router upstairs

What device is this?

The symptoms sound suspiciously like there's an IP address conflict, which can often be caused by the pre-set default IP address of such an item of hardware.

Thank you for replying. What does that mean in regards to the IP address? The device is a white booster box that allows us to watch TV in the bedroom.
