topic Sky Q box not connecting after change from BT to sky isp in Sky Q

Hi, please can someone help before I throw my sky q box out the window.

I had been with BT, for past 4 years we've had 3 bt wholehome discs (the white ones) because we've had a few different extensions and can't get WiFi off the router everywhere in the house. Initially I had issues with the sky q box connecting to them, if would disconnect often but all of sudden it then became stable and we've not had many disconnections at all.

We've now switched to sky as ISP, I swapped their router over, switched off the WiFi on the router and all our devices reconnected to the wholehome discs with no issues. Except, the sky box.

It now won't hold a WiFi connection to the whole home network at all. Literally seconds then it's gone again.

I tried to connect via ethernet from the disc but that made the disc disconnect. So no good.

Is there a solution to this? Or do I have to get someone to run an ethernet cable round the house to connect direct to the router?

I can't understand what's changed as it's literally a straight swap over. It should just remember the discs surely? The only thing is the sky router but I've switched off the wifi to that so why should that matter?

Any help much appreciated.
