I want to move my Sky Q to a different room. In the new room there is currently a sky cable going into a freesat box ( it's the double Q cable). But when I plug in the Q box it says there is no satellite signal. Any ideas please?

One presumes you have a hybrid LNB that is feeding the Q and Freesat.

The Freesat cables wll be connected to the standard outputs rather than wideband ones which cannot drive the Q.

You should be able to swap over the cables at the LNB end - but you may need external assistance if you haven't got a clue what I'm talking about...

Hi @Jimmyb

Have you checked how many cables are going to the Dish?

If there are four then is possible that the two pairs must be swapped round on the Dish LNB.
If you have a Freesat box that is not 4K then it needs a different signal.

Note that the original Sky Hybrid LNB's were universal and suitable for Freesat or Sky Q on any input. These had six inputs.

Latest Sky Hybrid LNB's only have four inputs. Two Wideband for Sky Q and Two legacy for Freesat/Sky Plus.

This is why you will need to swap the two pairs at the LNB
